Thankful days. But today especially. When we went around the table to say what we were thankful for, this is the awesomeness I heard.
Hubbo said he was thankful for his wife & three wonderful sons.
Son#1 said he was thankful for Nana, Julie when she's not singing & Mrs. Moses. (I swear I can carry a tune.)
Son#3 was thankful for many, many things he couldn't shut up during our dinner. The main ones I heard repeated were, "My Jedi, choo-choo train & my green, green tractor."
I was talking about how I was thankful we had food, the money for the food & family to share it with, if we'd wanted to do that. And how so very thankful I was for three children from Ethiopia that have a new family to live with here in the States this Thanksgiving. That family is truly thankful this year. All four of my boys are healthy & love me--when I don't sing---so how could I ask for anything else?
Son#2, could he talk, I feel confident that he'd say he was thankful for---deviled eggs, mashed potatoes, dressing, turkey, rolls, green bean casserole & pie.
Trust me on this.
Gobble, gobble from our home to yours!
